Maybe you put on your 2015 resolutions list that you want to share your knowledge? Perhaps you're looking to get your name out into the design community? Or maybe you just want to be part of Team Awesome (the regular instructor team within the Design & Illustration section). Well, this could be your chance.
What We're Looking For
Within the Design & Illustration section of Tuts+, we're always looking for talented instructors to join Team Awesome. However we're lacking in drawing talent in some areas. Could you fit one of the areas below?
- Drawing: Realistic pencil drawing from still life or stock images or even your own creations
- Drawing: Comics & cartoons... everything from super cute to super heroes!
- Drawing: Technical drawing
- Drawing: Mechanical creations
- In addition to these areas, we're also looking for experts and obsessives in a variety of traditional media such as water colours, collage, oils and more!
You must also be comfortable with the English language. We can proof your content, but we can't rewrite everything for you. To put it simply, if you struggle when deciding whether to write its or it's, this might not be the gig for you.
We're looking for content from quick tips to in-depth tutorials. Most of all, we want instructors who can explain themselves clearly and accurately, and can produce quality end results.
What Do You Get Out of It?
There are many benefits in becoming a Tuts+ Instructor:
- Getting paid for a subject you're passionate about is always rewarding. Depending on the content type and subject, you could be billing thousands per month!
- Get your name out into the community—this is especially good if you're just starting your freelance career.
- Establish yourself as an expert in your given field by writing regularly for a respected educational network.
There are many ways in which it pays to write tutorials. Take it from me, I've been doing this for over five years now!
