Photoshop in 60 Seconds: Oil Painting Effect
Traditional art requires amazing patience and lots of time to create incredible works of art. But if you're short on time you can still achieve a remarkable effect by downloading a Photoshop Action from Envato Market.
Check out this quick video below to see how to transform any photo instantly! And try out this effect on the Flower and Portrait images from this tutorial.
Create an Oil Painting Effect in Photoshop
I'll be using this Fashion Portrait photo to test out this HDR Oil Retouch Action.

First load your Photoshop action by going to Window > Actions, and selecting Load Actions from the drop down menu within the Actions panel.

Open your favorite photo into Photoshop, then select the Action and press Play.

Customize your photo by experimenting with the layers in the new HDR Oil Retouch Group. Hide the High Pass Filter and adjust the Opacity of the Exposure Layer.

You can also play around with colors by adding a New Adjustment Layer of Color Balance for more experimentation.

Want to see this in action? Check out the video above to see this lesson at work.
