Photoshop in 60 Seconds: Duotone Action

One of the hottest trends around is the duotone photo effect. This effect changes your photo by making the color scheme only two colors. And you can create an easy Photoshop Action to apply your favorite Gradient Map to any photo. Browse the incredible selection of Photoshop Actions on GraphicRiver and Envato Elements to explore more color variations.

Learn how I create a quick duotone Photoshop action in this quick video below.

Bring up the Actions palette by going to Window > Actions. Create a New Set named "Duotone Action," and then create a New Action named "Green and Orange." When you're finished, hit the Record button to begin recording the next steps.

To boost the contrast, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Brightness and Contrast. Increase the Contrast to 60. When you're done, remember to hit the Stop button on the Actions palette to use this action for later photos.
